Film Trivia: Dug the lovable dog from the 2009 pixar animated film Up has a unique collar which makes him capable of taking. When he first meet Russell and Carl his first words are: “My name is Dug. I have just met you, and I love you.”

Uggie Steals the Show: From the first moment Uggie came onscreen in “The Artist” to the end of the film, it became clear that Hollywood’s cutest canine was the real star of the movie. It’s impossible to not have your heart melt when the 10-year-old dog goes to get the police officer’s attention at the end of “The Artist.” Now that deserves an Oscar!

Blu and Linda think he’s the last of his kind, but when they learn about another macaw who lives in Rio de Janeiro, they head to the faraway and exotic land to find Jewel, Blu’s female counterpart. A mean-looking but friendly bulldog, Luiz aids Blu in his journey. Luiz’s slobbery bite proves that “drool is cool.”

Film Trivia: Stanley Ipkiss is a bank clerk that is an incredibly nice man. Unfortunately, he is too nice for his own good and is a pushover when it comes to confrontations. After one of the worst days of his life, he finds a mask that depicts Loki, the Norse night god of mischief. Now, when he puts it on, he becomes his inner, self: a cartoony romantic wild man. However, a small time crime boss, Dorian Tyrel, comes across this character dubbed “The Mask” by the media. After Ipkiss’s alter ego indirectly kills his friend in crime, Tyrel now wants this green-faced goon destroyed. Evil Detecting Dog: Milo senses something is amiss with the titular mask the moment he sees it.

Funny Clip: Milo the dog, who at first misunderstands the command to “Get the keys”, picking up the cheese from the guard’s sandwich before bringing the keys Stanley uses to escape from the jail cell.

Film Trivia: Einstein was the latest of many Doc’s pet dogs named after famous scientists, in this case Albert Einstein. It was, therefore, quite fitting that he became the world’s first time traveller. Einstein was the first living creature to go forward in time having been the test of his owner, Dr. Emmett Brown’s De Lorean time machine. Einstein was Doc’s constant companion, and despite being using the dog in many of his experiments, Doc did care about his pet deeply and he would not compromise his friend’s safety. Doc built an automatic dog food feeder to make both his life, and Einstein, easier. He only liked canned dog food, and was usually walked twice a day. Einie for short isn’t in much of the first Back To The Future except to warn Doc Brown of the vengeful Libyans. He isn’t really seen again until the sequel where he stays with Marty and Doc for most of the film.

Trivia: In Real Life Rin Tin Tin was a pup found by American serviceman Lee Duncan in France a few months before the end of WW1. Named for a puppet called Rintintin that French children gave to the American soldiers for good luck, the dog returned at war’s end with Duncan to his home in LA, California. Nicknamed Rinty by his owner, the dog learned tricks and could leap 11 feet 9 inches. He was seen performing at a dog show by film producer Charles Jones, who paid Duncan to film Rinty. Rin Tin Tin would be cast as a wolf or wolf-hybrid many times in his career, despite looking little to nothing like one. His first starring role, 1923′s Where The North Begins.
