Film Trivia: A Huge Hit at the Oscars 2012. Set in Hollywood, 1927: As silent movie star George Valentin wonders if the arrival of talking pictures will cause him to fade into oblivion, he sparks with Peppy Miller, a young dancer set for a big break.
Uggie Steals the Show: From the first moment Uggie came onscreen in “The Artist” to the end of the film, it became clear that Hollywood’s cutest canine was the real star of the movie. It’s impossible to not have your heart melt when the 10-year-old dog goes to get the police officer’s attention at the end of “The Artist.” Now that deserves an Oscar!
More Talents of Uggie: Uggie has appeared in many movies like Disney’s Life is Ruff, Mr. Fix It,  and Water for Elephants along with an endless list of international TV commercials. Uggie’s specialties are studio tricks, extreme skateboarding and having a good time with the audience.
More Uggie News: Though Uggie’s trainer announced recently that the adorable pooch would be retiring soon, Nintendo couldn’t resist making use of the “Artist” star’s newfound popularity by hiring him to be the video game company’s first ever “spokesdog.” Uggie will be the new face of Nintendo’s 3DS games “Nintendogs” and “Nintencats.”
